All the information is stored in a database and used to put in your name for a job with a company with staff vacancies: in this case, the Job Centre will give the names of potential candidates to the company, which will then assess CVs and decide what to do.

In Job Centres you can have useful information about the activities of apprenticeship. The training apprenticeship allows young people to do a working experience in a company and to have a first contact with the world of work. In some cases a reimbursement for expenses is provided for, but the apprenticeship does not mean a working contract. Sometimes Job Centres select on behalf of the companies which are intereseted in starting an apprenticeship. In these cases, Job Centres will prepare an agreement, which will be signed by the company and by the apprentice; they will also prepare a training project and they will offer the assistance of a tutor who will follow the activities of the apprentice inside the company.

When a public body (the Council, the District, the Region) needs new staff, they ask Job Centres to make a public selection (according to the Law 56/87 art. 16). If there are job offers, Job Centres -during specific days- will publish on the website the jobs available in the public administration within their territory of competence.
Only people who, previously to the publication, had put their names down to work in that territory, that is in the Job Centre where they have elected the special address, can partecipate to the selection. EU citizens and recognised refugees can access public selections too.
